August 16th 2007. This is the day I get my A-Level results after completing 2 years of Sixth Form at Greenhead College, Huddersfield. To say I was nervous doesn’t really cover it.

Enough trying to make it sound epic. It wasn’t actually that exciting haha. Bob was staying with me for a few days previously and so was coming into college with me today. I think it helped calm me down that he was there. I get stressed in these sort of situations, knowing that basically my future depends on what little letter I have written on my results slip…

I needed ABB grades for my first choice university (Warwick). Did I get them? Fuck yes! I got three 3 As infact! I was pretty surprised to learn I had got an A in Maths, that’s my weakest subject.

French:

Paper 1 - writing, reading, listening - 96/105 (A)

Paper 2 - written coursework - 88/90 (A)

Paper 3 - speaking conversation - 81/105 (B)

German:

Paper 1 - writing, reading, listening - 87/105 (A)

Paper 2 - written coursework - 90/90 (A)

Paper 3 - speaking conversation - 92/105 (A)

Maths:

Core 1 (resit) - 92/100 (A)

Core 4 - 70/100 (B)

Decision 1 - 80/100 (A)

I’m so happy! Bob and I celebrated with some sushi time at Yo! Sushi in Leeds, before he had to catch his train back to London
