As part of my 43 things I am creating a list of 100 things which make me happy. I doubt I can do 100 all in one go, so I will keep adding and updating it in the future til I reach 100.
Update 8th October: I have now completed my full list

Happiness is…
- My boyfriend
- Taking photos
- Getting letters and parcels in the post
- The feeling of having had a productive day
- Finding a penny (or little things or whatever) in the street
- Seeing little kids at the park feeding the ducks (aw reminds me of when I was little)
- Having a good conversation
- Doing something new
- Getting up early enough to see the sun rise (though it’s getting easier now…)
- Hedgehogs
- Green tea and sushi with friends
- Lucy
- Surprises
- Scarves in winter
- Things in miniature (they’re always so cute)
- Going somewhere without a real purpose; just because I want to
- Traveling on the train
- Speaking to a French/German person who is patient and genuinely interested that I am making the effort to speak in their language
- Reading Nineteen-Eighty Four
- Reading Postsecret
- Daydreaming…
- Foreign things; names, places, accents, cultures
- Sunny days where you can lie back and make shapes in the clouds
- Strawberry ice cream
- Thorntons Viennese Truffles
- Postcards from people on holiday
- Puzzles (and solving them…)
- Looking through all the old family photo albums
- Good Hair Days
- Finding a spiders web early morning with dew on over it
- Old copies of Tintin in French
- Christmas lights
- Peter Rabbit (and friends)
- Pretty stationery, especially notebooks. But then I don’t want to use them cos I don’t want to waste it
- British humour, mmm Monty Python
- Hearing songs I used to love but haven’t heard in years
- Laughing until it hurts. Then continuing to laugh anyway
- Hot showers (I always have scorching showers, even in Summer)
- Sitting in my conservatory and listening to the rain coming down
- Not being able to find the words to say what I want to say
- Refreshing the Flickr explore page…
- Being the first person to be awake in the house in the morning
- Minor chords
- Pancakes and maple syrup
- Being recognised by the perfume I wear
- Scribbly handwriting - I can’t stand standard, neat, rounded stuff.
- Long-winded song titles, in the style of Sufjan Stevens or similar
- Finishing something I set out to do
- Picnics in Summer
- Olives stuffed with feta cheese
- Things either star or heart shaped
- Blue and silver
- Making someone smile
- Rainbows
- Catching up with people you haven’t seen or talked to in a long time
- Watching foreign films and not needing subtitles
- The post-it note stuck to my mirror
- Lichtenstein style pop-art
- Hallelujah
- My box of “memories” - basically just a box in my room I have filled with stuff which means too much to throw away, photos, travel tickets, letters, etc
- The CD artwork on Royksopp - The Understanding. It’s beautiful
- The smell of vanilla
- Red roses
- When my room is nice and tidy
- Candlelight
- Being tickled
- Dressing up smart for special occasions
- Hearing stories my parents tell of when they were little
- Waking up when it’s been snowing hard overnight and before any grit’s been put down on the roads
- Really big fish tanks full of lots of bright coloured fish <– as long as the fish aren’t too big because then they’re just scary
- Shooting stars (count so far: 3)
- Stained glass windows
- The feel of someone playing with your hair
- Receiving a compliment and being lost for words
- Hugs
- Rollercoasters - I love them
- Funny German words - pingelig, schwanger, hochnasig usw
- Really cheesy and overused sayings, like “you must be the change you wish to see in the world” - they make me smile
- Rural France
- New shoes - I’m really picky so when I find a pair I finally like, it’s very good
- Short sentences
- Existentialism
- Non-pretentious modern art, I think some does exist…
- Sharing secrets and trusting the other person to keep them
- Those round things on tables which spin the food around… Lazy Susans
- Adventures
- Not worrying about what’s been and happened
- Falling asleep to music…
- Finding the perfect present for someone
- That advert with the Italian cafe and the chocolates and the woman…
- Shallow depth of field… mmm
- White wine
- Sheepworld - so cheesy but oh so cute
- The theatre
- Making sentences out of magnetic poetry
- Mix CDs - making and getting them
- Going to Ikea… even though I rarely buy anything
- Moments you wish would never end
- Alice In Wonderland/Alice Through The Looking Glass

Awwh blesh! He’s pretty hard to meet these days, especially when he’s always approached before you get your chance. the other 2 are easy to meet though :p
