Today Amy and I went shopping to Leeds, maybe catch the end of the sales and just a general catch-up since we don’t see each other that often anymore. And and and. I bought myself a dress! It’s little and black and pretty and it looks SO good. I never ever usually buy dresses, but I wanted something smart for Bob’s graduation ceremony next week, and I found this in the shops.

I’m not going to post a picture (yet) cos I can’t show what it looks like, going to be a surprise next week for Bob and all But ooh I love it. It fits so perfectly and I think it looks great. I tried it on again when I got home to double make sure it’s okay (I always do this with clothes) and it’s just so comfortable and pretty I could wear it all day every day. I wish.

I just tried it on again. God I love it. Maybe I should start wearing dresses more? Comfy dress! I’m not doing anything fancy for New Years, going out briefly to a friend-of-the-family’s house, then coming back before midnight, but I feel like dressing up in the dress when I get back home, so I can start the New Year in STYLE.

Hmm.

I also have new shoes, though bought these last Saturday, Bob bought them for me in the sale at Joy. They are the comfiest pair of shoes I have ever tried. Even you know like when you buy a new pair of shoes they usually take a few wears to break in properly. I put these on and instantly it was mega-comfort. Mmm. But they don’t go with the dress, see:

Green and yellow shoes! But I need some new shoes to go with this dress. I tried to find some silver ones today, but everything was either too OTT or too UTT (is under the top even a phrase?). I found some lovely gold ones but I hesitated to buy them cos I always think black and silver is better than black and gold. Plus silver suits me more. Meh rambling.

I bought a new top as well. Not in the sales so twas expensive but Amy gets student discount so I got her to buy these for the 10% off yay. New top:

That’s about all I bought really. Except some perfume for Amy. I didn’t know what to get her for Christmas so we went shopping today and I took her to Be Beautiful. Most amazing shop ever. Perfume is always a good gift, right? Anyway she picked a beautifully scented one so I bought her a bottle of it.

I’m listening to Royksopp on my new iPod. I really like A Higher Place but it has this little melody in it which sounds exactly like one from a Phantom song, the bit that goes ‘In dreams he sang to me…’. I keep wanting it to go on and I find myself singing Phantom haha.

It really doesn’t feel like the end of 2007. This has been the best year of my life. And I ended it in an amazing way, having a wonderful day out with one of my best friends. The only way this day could be better would be if I was with Bob today and tonight and tomorrow. But it’s okay. I’m going to London on the 10th of January.

You know those days where you feel so good about everything. Everything goes well and you really enjoy yourself. You try on a dress and it makes you feel pretty. That was today. I love 2007. Hello 2008.
