The last few weeks have been pretty great, the next few weeks are going to be awesome, starting tomorrow:
Tomorrow: Get up dead early to go to Cambridge to see brothers (and Joanne)
Next Thursday (Valentines Day): Bob is coming for the weekend :D:D
Weekend after that: Off to Durham for Amy’s birthday!
Mint, that’ll take me to the end of Feb, and then only have a few weeks left at work after that. Travel plans are going well, got a route, now I need to book hostels/inter-rail card x2 and I am practically sorted.
Yay.
I have a new favourite band. It’s weird to say that. For about4 years now I’ve not had a ‘favourite’ band/musician/whatever per se. I couldn’t settle on one I like enough to listen to all the time and only love them more each time. Now I have a definite favourite.
They go by the name Okkervil River. AWESOME.
I know I’ve gone on and on about them recently, but I seriously cannot get enough of these guys. Every single song is absolutely perfect and beautiful. When I listen to their music and their lyrics, it just feels so right. Every word is placed so perfectly that there is really no other alternative. It sounds weird but it’s strange to think these songs were written, it just seems as if they’re so perfect they were formed naturally, that’s how they were found and have been left unchanged. I dunno I’m rambling. I cannot get enough of them. Next time they come anywhere remotely near here I am GOING.
