Well, seen as it’s Mother’s Day today and seen as I need to learn how to cook, I decided I would cook the meal for today in our house. It was roast duck (MMM) for main course, and I made a lovely chocolatey-hazelnut cake for dessert. Look, lovely:

Admittedly, my mum helped me with the first course, a full roast meal is hard when you dunno what to do, but she said it’s nice to cook with someone, which made me feel happy. I love my mum to bits. I got her some flowers and some Body Shop stuff and a nice card for Mother’s Day. And yeah, a nice dessert

The meal was very yummy. We had some nice wine and some nice conversation and lots of nice time spent together. Then I did the washing up and tidied up while my parents went out for their Sunday afternoon walk.

I think I’ll help my mum with the cooking more often. She likes it. Maybe I can make a dessert every Sunday or something, I like cooking, it’s easy to follow a recipe and it’s fun to make something.
