Wow its been ages (sorry cant find the apostrophe key on this keyboard) since Ive written something up here, sorry!

So whats been happening avec moi?

Well, last time I posted an entry I was coming to the end of my stay in Gent with Nic, and from there on I went to Brugges, further west in Belgium. I spent 2 days there which was lovely, Ive visited before, but about 10 years ago (managed to find the hotel I stayed in then tho hehe), so it was nice to come back and revisit. The weather wasnt so great, sunny when I arrived and left, but on my only full day there it was cold and a bit rainy, oh well!

And then last Thursday, April 24th, I went southwards to Paris for about 5 days. Bob came over to meet up with me, as he lives in London its relatively easy to hop on a Eurostar and visit le city of love, aka Paris. So he arrived on Thursday night at la Gare du Nord, and we stayed in a cute little hotel pretty close to the station AND the centre, score.

We had a fantastic time in Paris, doing lots of touristy stuff like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, lArc du Triomphe etc. And we also managed to fit in a visit to the Amelie Cafe in Montmartre, ace! All in all, a wonderful trip. Again, Ive been to Paris before, but again, about 9 or 10 years ago, and Ive been meaning to go back for aaages. Now its finally happened. Im glad I wasnt alone though, I got a bit confused with all the Metro systems and all. Was lots of fun speaking French though

And then from Paris I went east to Strasbourg, spent a day or two there, though in all honesty I found the city a bit boring, theres not a whole lot to do there. And then I came to Frankfurt, a bit more north and a bit more west, and in Germany! And thats where I am right now! Im staying in a bloody fantastic hostel which is mucho fun and everyone is very nice. The city is wonderful and German people are SO FRIENDLY. Also get a free buffet breakfast mmm.

Tomorrow Im going to Berlin, cannot wait. Ha again its somewhere Ive been before, but I absolutely loved it and Im really keen to revisit it now. Plus I need to buy a red Ampelmann keyring to match my green one

So thats my story so far. Im nearing the halfway mark. About next Tuesday will be it. How exciting
