My photos are up in Cambridge!
Wednesday, February 13th, 2008Long story short, there was a competition at Clare College, Cambridge to display some photos on the wall in somewhere so my brother entered for me and I won 2 spots on the wall! Here, look!
We had a lovely weekend in Cambridge about which I cannot be bothered to write every tiny little detail (it’s boring anyway). Basically we had a nice day out on Saturday and I met up with Joanne briefly for lunch, and then later on we had champagne, wine and Thai food (in that order) to celebrate Alan being 21. I slept at Ted’s house on the floor and got up dead early as he was going to Bedford at some ridiculous hour (well, 8am, that was my lie-in of the week).
Then we came home and I curled up on the backseat of the car and slept with Okkervil River on repeat in my ears. It was a good weekend.

Saturday, November 17th, 2007I feel a bit better about photography lately. More inspired. More keen to take a lot of time to set up and capture the perfect shot. Even though I deleted most of the ones I did today and my ‘great idea’ didn’t work. But still! I can try again another time.
I need to upload everyday again.
On a different note…
We were sat in a cafe
Sunday, October 28th, 2007And as usual I was taking photos. My friend Sarah who I was with said to me,
“Your life is going to be one big photo collection. That’s amazing.”
And I thought, yes, it is.
Photoshop fun.
Saturday, October 20th, 2007Today I decided to have a bit of fun on the wonder that is Photoshop. I use it for all my photo editing, but it’s just the boring stuff all the time, levels, colour, mebbe a bit of curves, hue/saturation etc. Oh and vignetting of course. I wanted to just abuse the amazing features it has… so here we go.
A couple of ideas I’ve wanted to try for a while.
On the left, me and my sisters, and on the right, an idea inspired by Inn:
Voila, now we know what I look like with brown eyes. Though personally I don’t like it.
Canon
Saturday, October 6th, 2007Thanks to Inn (and photoshop skills) there now exists a Canon advert with moi
Please note: This is not a real advert and I am not a real advertising person for Canon. I do not have copyrights to their name, font etc etc and use it here only for promotional purposes. I am not in any way associated with Canon, other than buying and using their DSLRs and camera equipment. I would like to think that they’re not going to complain that I’m using their name on this image, however if you’re from Canon and you see this image and get pissed… it’s just for fun and I don’t mean any offence/copyright issues with this
Happy birthday Inn!
Sunday, September 30th, 2007Saturday 22nd 2007, two days before her birthday, we decided to have a mini-meet in Leeds for some birthday sushi action. Initially we were going to et a huge sushi platter from Sisushi, as Inn gets a yummy 20% off for being a member. But we couldn’t decide which one to get. Did we go all out and get the Deluxe platter with 70 pieces? Or Sushi Party 2 with 78? There were 4 (possibly 5) of us…
We got to Sisushi about half 2, still unsure of which to get. We were getting it take-out, then driving to Kev’s house to eat it, so we spent ages still deciding. I can’t remember who suggested it, but it came up… why only get one? Why not TWO?
A good point. Lindsay was now going to join in so that made it 5 of us, and if we bought 2 platters the price was little different than buying one. Sooo for £12 each we bought 105 pieces of sushi: Sushi Party 2 platter and Zero-Fish platter. It was amazing!
